Foynes Engineering Ltd were lucky enough to be involved in the historic redevelopment of Thomond Park in Limerick City in 2008 with the construction of two new stands (West and East) offering a seating capacity of 15,500. These new covered stands were built either side of the pitch without affecting continuing matches and progress by Munster to a second Heineken Cup victory in 2008.

The main iconic feature of the new stadium is the symmetrical grandstands on the East and West sides each supported by a 146 tonne 150m long truss which we were tasked with fabricating. The new Thomond Park Stadium is now a unique landmark for Limerick city.

Foynes Engineering prides itself on its professional and flexible approach to complex construction projects, with a focus on delivering our commitments whilst complying with all Health & Safety obligations and hygiene requirements necessary in the modern world.
