This project consists of the construction of a new 8000m3 Fuel Tank, including tank foundations/piling, secondary containment floor, tertiary containment wall, and double skinned tank. Foynes Engineering acted as Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage.
Included in the project:
Civil tank foundations, base, piling, pile cap and bund wall. Structural including tank spiral stairways, ladders, access platform, handrails, supports, and pipe bridges. Tankage, providing one new 8000m3 double skinned welded steel Fuel Tank to EN14015. Mechanical including connection to import line, outlet pipework to pumps/filter vessels and the loading gantry, sampling and flush system. Firefighting including tank drencher/divert plates and foam pourers. Internal and external coating system Testing/commissioning and handover.
